Basil and Vine was created to journal my adventures in dining, drinking, and entertaining. As a busy wife, mother, caregiver, as well as a Vice President at a major retail organization, I often find myself craving creative new recipes to satisfy my family. Weekday meals need to be quick, easy and have ingredients that I have on hand, or that can be bought ahead of time.
I also believe in working hard to play hard. I love to entertain family and friends, hosting dinners, or assisting with other party planners! I am constantly looking for dishes that are easy to bring to someone’s house, or party ideas that make the guests have a unique and fun time.

About Me
My name is Michelle and I have been married to my wonderful husband, Bill, for twenty-two years. We have two adult children, Eden and Alec. Eden is living it up in NYC and Alec goes to college and assists in blog work. My mother-in-law, Marsha currently resides with us at the house as well and often helps with prep dinner! When I’m not busy working, I enjoy Organic Gardening (gotta get those fresh ingredients!), entertaining, cooking and snuggling with my princess puppy Ellie!
